At Humans In Movement, we believe movement is life and Pilates is for everybody.

We’re a boutique Pilates studio in Wollongong, specialising in Private 1:1 and Semi-Private 1:3 sessions designed specifically for your body, goals, and lifestyle.

Our experienced and comprehensively certified instructors create tailored programs that support:

  • Women’s health (including pre- and post-natal Pilates and pelvic floor support)

  • Clinical and comprehensive rehabilitation and recovery from injury

  • Functional movement and strength training

Coming in January 2026, we’ll also offer individualised semi-private strength training (1:4) in a supportive, expert-led environment.

Many people are familiar with group mat or reformer Pilates, but comprehensive Pilates takes things further. A comprehensively trained instructor is certified to teach across the full range of Pilates equipment, including the Trapeze Table (Cadillac), Wunda and Exo Chairs, Barrels, and a variety of small apparatus that support or challenge your movement.

This allows us to program specifically for your injuries, spinal health, joint and tendon care, or sports-specific goals, giving you truly individualised attention.

Whether you prefer the focused support of a private session (1:1) or the community feel of a semi-private (1:3) where each client works through their own tailored program under the guidance of one instructor, we help you move better, feel stronger, and live without limitations.

Our instructors are highly qualified and experienced, holding Diploma-level Pilates certifications or Physiotherapy qualifications. With years of teaching experience and advanced understanding of anatomy and movement, they’re equipped to design programs that truly meet you where you are, ensuring every session works for your body, not against it.

How do i start?

Your Pilates journey begins with our 3 Start Up Sessions. Across these sessions, we’ll assess your movement, discuss your goals, and create a personalised program tailored to your body.

These sessions are the perfect start to Pilates at Humans in Movement especially if you have injuries, medical conditions, or prefer detailed 1:1 guidance. You’ll gain a clear understanding of how Pilates can support your strength, mobility, and long-term confidence. Once your Start Up is complete, we’ll recommend the best ongoing option for you whether that’s private sessions, a semi-private program, or a combination of both.

You’ll receive a tailored program built around your body and your goals, with ongoing support and progress check-ins along the way.
